Why should a bride and groom hire a Wedding Planner?

The short answer; to enjoy their wedding day.  Not having to worry about the small details of the day gives the bride and groom time to spend with family, friends and guests. Knowing that everything will run smoothly, gives them peace of mind that all aspects of their wedding are being handled. We are professionals who have experience and industry relationships that will allow the brides and grooms wedding vision come to life.

A Wedding Planner is expensive; can’t my friends or family help out?

Family and friends do save money, however you have to remember that they will also want to enjoy the day of the wedding. Hiring a Wedding Planner is an investment in making sure that your wedding day reflects your vision in being beautiful, runs smoothly and relieves the stress from yourselves, family and friends.

How early should couples start to plan their wedding?

Anywhere from 9-12 months prior to the wedding date is the ideal time to start planning. You don’t want to wait until the last minute and feel overwhelmed, but you also don’t want to be planning for too long. It is recommended to hire your wedding planner right away, even for the ‘month of/day of’ package. You’ll want to get a contract signed to ensure the coordinator is available for your wedding date. This will allow you peace of mind that at least an aspect of the event will be covered.

Can we hire you as soon as we get engaged or should we wait?

As soon as you are engaged is best, if you know that you will be getting married in the near future than definitely think about hiring a Wedding Planner. Dates are booked well in advance and the sooner we begin planning, the better! If you are interested in the First Light package, we would recommend booking as soon as you have secured your date & venue.

What type of packages do you offer?

We offer 3 packages depending on what type of service you are looking for and how much assistance is needed. We have our First Light Package, which is our ‘month of/day of’ package. Premium Package, which is a mid-level package. And we have our Ultimate Package, which is our full service package. We can customize packages to meet specific needs and offer an A La Carte package, which is when you need assistance.

Will you work with vendors we select, or only those you recommend?

We will work with your selection of vendors; however, we do have a great team of preferred vendors that we work with should you need any referrals.

What is the difference in a Venue Coordinator and a Wedding Planner?

A Venue Coordinator oversees the on-site staff, to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations, serving food on time, etc. A majority of the time, the Venue Coordinator is not there for the duration of the event &/or they have other events they are overseeing on property during the same time. A Wedding Planner works for you, and only you. We make sure every aspect runs smoothly, will greet all vendors and make sure you enjoy your vision becoming a reality.

What is the “Day Of Service” in your words?

It’s not possible to have a “day of service”. Can you imagine going into something blind? Well that’s exactly what a coordinator will be doing. Without any prior meetings or any information, there are just too many things that could go wrong.  We offer and call our First Light Package ‘month of/day of’  as we schedule final details with you 4-6 weeks prior to the event.
This gives us both a chance to get to know each other, work on the details to execute the wedding of your dreams and create a timeline of the day. It also allows us to know the vendors you are working with and brings it to their attention that we will be the point of contact on the day. Giving you full control to enjoy your day and leaving us to ensure everything runs to plan. 

Yes, they have done most of the planning themselves, but I help finalise everything and ensure that their vision gets executed.
